Iran Enriched Uranium Denying US Pressure

Iran has crossed Uranium Enrichment limit set by six major powers through a landmark agreement in 2015. Iran has started enrichment of Uranium beyond limit agreed upon with US, Russia, France Germany, UK and China. Beijing and Moscow blamed Washington for the crisis and hoped to pursue diplomatic efforts to keep the deal alive. Kremlin spokesman said “Russia aims to continue dialogue and efforts on the diplomatic front.

Spokesman of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Behrouz Kamalvandi, confirmed the act saying Tehran had enriched uranium beyond the 3.67 percent purity that the deal allows, passing 4.5 percent. While spokesperson of Iranian Foreign Ministry said “The door of diplomacy is open, we appreciate the efforts of some nations to save the deal.”

On the other hand secretary of State Mike Pompeo used social media to respond Iranian breach of agreement. He Tweeted “Iran latest expansion of its nuclear program will lead to further isolation and sanctions. Nations should restore the longstanding standard for no enrichment for Iran’s Nuclear Program. Iran’s regime, armed with nuclear weapons, would pose an even greater danger to the world.
